I’m well into writing the second novel, The Tula Plot, in my Clark Ransom Thriller Trilogy.
The villain of The Tula Plot is Fidel Karvelis Cortazár. Nicholas, one of Fidel’s victims, is a member of the troubled Vaughn family. The Vaughn’s tangled tale centers another of my series: Paradise Wars.
In Rhode Island, Jake, another Vaughn, discovers his family is running a child sex trafficking ring. Whether he can stop them is the mystery that drives Defiled. If you haven’t read Defiled (in its first incarnation,The Consecration of Jacob Jordaens), check it out here:
I wanted to explore darker themes in a supernatural thriller, so I wrote Defiled. After I finish the Clark Ransom Trilogy, I will write novels two and three of Paradise Wars. Seduced follows Defiled and is the story of New Orleans clairvoyant Moira Connery, Jake’s mentor.
If you read Defiled, I hope you enjoy the twisted tale of the Vaughn family. If you think of ways to link gothic New England and the mysteries that may lurk within Mexican pyramids, I’d love you to post your comments below.
